MSA members Milledge and Roxanne Newton are hosting the South Central Katahdin Association meeting this year at Hound River Farm. They have invited us to attend and enjoy this program in lieu of our regular April meeting. This is a two day event : June 12th and 13th.

Featured speakers are our favorites: Dr. Charles Parker and Dr. Will R. Getz ! We always learn a lot from these two experts. What a wonderful opportunity for MSA members to enjoy this event. Many of our members are SCKA members as well.

Tentative schedule: Friday June 12th, arrival of sheep for sale (only SCKA members may bring sheep this time) . Friday evening: social gathering at Hound River Farm Lodge with heavy hors d'oeuvres. Saturday: SCKA annual meeting, farm tour, and Seminars. Lunch and Dinner at the Lodge are included. Private treaty sale of quality Katahdin breeding stock on the premises.

If you plan to attend, please notify the Newtons so they can plan for the food. There are hotels at the Valdosta and Hahira exits along I-75. The only charge for this event is to cover meals: $15 each person for lunch and dinner on Saturday, or $10 I you're only going to be there for lunch.
